Why I made Auraya

originally Solebarr

I didn’t start this brand because I wanted another swimsuit. I started it because I was tired of feeling exposed.

Even with sunscreen.
Even with “good” swimwear.
I still got burnt.

After my own skin cancer diagnosis, I couldn’t ignore it anymore.

I’d spent 18 years in the clothing industry.
I knew fabric. I knew fit.
And I knew women deserved better than choosing between cute or covered.

So I designed a layer that feels like protection — not restriction.
